Mike Tabbara

Mr. Tabbara has more than 35 years of senior-level experience in managing and directing the financial, technical, and business development activities of engineering, construction, and consulting companies. He has a background in civil engineering and construction management and has acquired over 25 years of experience in the environment and engineering fields.
Mr. Tabbara has provided management for numerous projects involving hazardous materials assessment for numerous buildings and site surveys for underground storage tanks. Additionally, he has been responsible for sampling of toxic contaminants, developing specifications for hazardous materials abatement, phasing of abatement activities, preparing cost estimates and performing risk assessments. He frequently assisted other project managers and superintendent with troubled projects.
Mr. Tabbara's previous experience includes serving as a Construction Manager for Kawes & Associates, Inc. in Los Angeles where he was responsible for managing a two million dollar new ramp project off the 118 freeway in Simi Valley, California. The work involved culvert box, catch basins, road and retaining walls. As Project Manager for Howard Rosenfield, a general contractor in Los Angeles, Mr. Tabbara supervised tenant improvement work projects throughout the Los Angeles area. He supervised all project aspects, including site clearing, budgeting, quality control, purchasing, safety, compliance, final construction, and move in. In addition, he helped in the selection of local contractors, negotiated agreements, and supervised activities of the subcontractors, as well as supervised electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, roofing, lighting, and flooring work.
He has also worked in construction investigation with Garrett Engineering, on a litigation case involving construction of a local hospital. The case was ultimately settled out of court. He also served as a building consultant for Design Construction Inc. in Los Angeles.
Mr. Tabbara served as President for Sand Land Developers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. His duties involved coordination of all phases of construction with engineers and architects, overseeing daily site foollow-up, cost estimating, preparation of bids and scheduling. Contracts ranged from 15 to 30 dollars annually, and consisted of mid-rise and high-rise buildings for commercial use. He also acted as teh constrution manager on a Mercedes truck assembly plant in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Tabbara served as a Senior Construction Manager with Diagnostic Engineering, overseeing all phases of muli-million dollar construction, infrastructure, superfund and environmental projects for government and private-sector clients. Experience included managing crews of up to 30 persons in a hotel (Hyatt Hotel) improvements project in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
